Ongoing Classes at Barefoot Living Arts
Return to Nature Gong
This form of Sheng Zhen Gong is inspired by the harmony found in nature. The natural balance found in the moon’s path around the earth can also be experienced within our own bodies’ movements. Breathing is natural. Go into a space of emptiness. Enter into nothing. In your Heart and in your mind everything is perfect. The power inherent in this qigong comes through when we return to our natural state of being. Mondays and Fridays at 8:30a.
Healing Gong, a form of Sheng Zhen, is a restorative medical qigong that blends an ancient tradition with gentle, meditative movements performed seated on a chair. Healing Gong is an integration of healing traditions, using the power of Nature to heal oneself. What is the essence of the practice? The practice leads one to the original state that abides in every human being. One comes to experience the opening of the Heart and the stillness of the mind. This form is loved by many for the physical and mental benefits it has bestowed upon them.. We highly recommend this practice to people who have cancer, autoimmune disorders, and any digestive issues. Thursdays at 11a.

Chi Longevity Center
Tai Chi Chuan
The internal martial art of Tai Chi is the most dynamic type of
Qi Gong. Practicing Tai Chi taps into Qi, life’s vital energy, as
the primary source of our strength rather than relying on
physical capacity alone. We begin with the 24 movement
Yang Style Form and advance to other Tai Chi forms,
including a 48 movement combination form, a sword form,
and Ba Gua. As we practice these forms, we cultivate an
awareness of Qi that we can apply to our lives in all settings. Sundays 10a to 11:15a.
Qi Gong & Meditation
This midweek Qi Gong is ideal for renewing inner peace
within a busy world, combining self-healing exercises with
meditation. By practicing gentle Chinese Qi Gong exercises,
regulating our breathing, and quieting our minds with
meditation, we increase our bodies’ supply of healing energy,
and enhance our overall vitality, while we also develop a
clearer and more relaxed state of mind. Each week we’ll
explore various Qi Gong exercises, such as Animal Frolics,
Pa Tuan, 5 Elements, Pan Gu, Dao Yin, and 8 Directions of
Qi. This holistic approach to the Chinese arts addresses both
the internal and external aspects or our beings for a
complete mind, body, and spirit experience. Wednesdays 7p to 8:15p.
Workshops, Lectures, and Events
Saturday November 18th from 10a-5
Taoism, China’s most ancient spiritual/philosophical tradition includes elegant mind/body systems that see sexual energy as a force that can be harnessed to enhance human health and longevity if used judiciously. The less well-known practices for women are highly effective at boosting sexual vitality, reducing PMS and menopause-related discomforts, and promoting a greater capacity to experience intimacy and to feel connected to universal and earthly forces.
Practices taught in this one-day seminar include Ovarian Breathing, the Orgasmic Upward Draw, Breast Massage Techniques, & clearing negative emotional energy from the sexual organs.
