This is an introduction to a 6 week course for anyone in recovery, and anyone looking to overcome self-destructive or addictive tendencies. Family members of addicts, yoga teachers, therapists and counselors will also find this course helpful. Yoga of Recovery combines Yoga, Ayurveda and 12-step principles to create a holistic approach to recovery. Over the 6 weeks the 6 Tenets of Recovery will be discussed starting with Life is Longing and ending with Life is Progress. A yoga asana practice will also be done each week (suitable for all levels) to bring balance and calm into the body as well as yoga nidra to relax.
